The idea for the company began in the 1920s when John W. Newcombe wanted to create a bagless vacuum. He invented the “separator,” which was a device that was designed to separate dust and particulates from the air. Leslie H. Green soon joined forces with him to develop the “Newcombe Bagless.” In 1929, Green formed the corporation Rexair, which means the “King of the Air.” Rexair, LLC offers a brief history, which includes the following: www.mlmlegal.com www.mlmlegal.com www.mlmlegal.com www.mlmlegal.com www.mlmlegal.com In 1936, T. Russ Hill joined the corporation. He was influenced by the street cleaners in Kentucky when he came up with the idea of incorporating water in the Rexair design, which would work to trap the dust and air. This innovation led to helping people who suffered from allergies and fevers and soon was recognized by medical professionals. In 1941 (WWII), Rexair had grown rapidly and merged with the Martin-Parry Corporation of Toledo, Ohio, which expanded their manufacturing abilities. During the war, the corporation supported the war effort by producing radar cases, rocket launchers and ship partitions and linings. In 1948, sales of the Rexair Cleaners skyrocketed. This (www.mlmlegal.com) was due to a salesman from Owensboro, Kentucky named J.V. Sanders. In 1953, he became one of five regional managers in Rexair’s newly aligned national sales organization. In 1955, the Company improved its vacuums with a new and more powerful cleaner, the “Rainbow”. In 1959, Sanders and Associates purchasedRexair. They began to develop the “Rainbow Opportunity”. Rainbow’s distributors now were able to sell products through direct sales. In 1969, Rexair opened its new 100,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Cadillac, Michigan. They produced attachments like the Power Nozzle and AquaMate. Rainbow D3 was launched in 1980. In 1947, Rexair had branch locations in Canada, Cuba and Mexico. In the 1980s, the Company developed international sales and a distribution network. In 1986, the Company celebrated their anniversary by launching the new D4. In 2001, Paul Vidovich took charge of the Company as President and CEO. In 2002, he also began Chairman. In 2004, they brought the e Series e2 to the market.www.mlmlegal.com www.mlmlegal.com www.mlmlegal.com www.mlmlegal.com www.mlmlegal.com Impact on the Industry Discussion of Products
