Founding Story AMC International has been in business since 2001, as a distributor of AMC products. The company’s corporate offices are located in Pinehurst, North Carolina. AMC has been in business since 1963. The AMC company history timeline is presented as follows: 1963 Andrew W. And there is a revolutionary new cookware unit: the oval roaster. 1978 Founding of the Alfa Institute, now known as the AMC Institute. 1980 A sensational development from the Alfa Institute is introduced: the Visiotherm, a world first, a temperature indicator integrated into the lid knob. Bon Appétit, the world’s best selling cookery book, appears in a new layout with a wider range of recipes. 1981 Founding of ISFE, the International Foundation for the Promotion of Nutrition Research and Nutrition Education. 1984 Another world first is introduced: the energy-saving Akkutherm capsule base. 1986 Launch of another world first: 1990 AMC’s power of innovation has created two more world firsts: 1993 The dream of automatic cooking and baking comes true: launch of the AMC Atmosfera 3000. 1996 The new generation of the AMC Multicooking System, Classic-Starline, is introduced all over the world. 1999 Another new development by AMC’s researchers: the Atmosfera 4000, a miracle of modern kitchen technology, a universal genius in every household. 2000 Market launch of the AMC Secuquick Softline.
