I wish I have Akita, but if I wanna have a dog, I"ll go to human resource center where many dogs are waiting for new owner. They are mostly grown, but I just feel sorry when I see puppies locked in a small cage in a petshop. I wonder what they gonna do to the puppies that was not sold to anyone.

I have my second Akita. I would never have another breed of dog. They are very good with children. If you train them right, you could never ask for a more loyal dog.

I adopted one 8 years ago. Best friend I have! She was used for puppies and let go. A great person named Patricia rescued her from getting laid down. She was really sick and malnutrictioned,really bad shape. Well, she got her healthy and I adopted her. These are facinating dogs. Very smart,very clean,very protective and very loyal! She can put a smile on your face when you feel down. I respect her and she respects me. I would never give her up for anything.

These dogs are really loyals... but sadly some people use these wonderfuls animals to hunt wolfs, even bears and tigers !! :(

Have a great akita! we rescued him and then adopted him since no one claimed him at the shelter. Tempermant is almost complete opposite LOVES other dogs and lets my Chichi take bones FROM his mouth and he dosnt care never growls or anything..SOO laid back but will push sit on you for space on the couch hehe. Great protector when need, big ol lovey bear best dogs for sure!
