Percent of Sales, Direct Sellers and Firms by Type of Company Compensation Plan

Recently, the Direct Selling Association released its U.S. Direct Selling in 2011 Fact Sheet [PDF] which provided statistics for the percentage of sales, direct sellers and firms by type of company compensation plan for 2010.

In 2010, 95.4 percent of sales were multilevel, while 4.6 percent were single level. 98.7 percent of sellers were multilevel sellers, while only 1.3 percent were single level sellers. And, multilevel firms represent 95.7 percent, while single level represent 4.3 percent.
